Ted Ginn will have opportunity to win back starting job

On the same day he was named the AFC's special teams player of the week for his pair of 100-yard touchdown returns, Dolphins coach Tony Sparano said Ginn won't be only a kick returner and occasional receiver. Ginn will have a chance to play his way out of the doghouse and into the starting lineup.

"Any one of these guys can get out of where they are by being consistent on the practice field ... Consistency isn't one day, two days. I need to see it for a while," Sparano said Wednesday. "Kind of like that Monopoly game with that 'Get out of jail free' card."

Ginn began the season as a starting receiver but was surpassed on the depth chart by rookie Brian Hartline for Sunday's game against the New York Jets. Ginn had his 100- and 101-yard kick returns but a pass was thrown his way only once, without success.

"I've still got to prove myself. I still want to prove myself," Ginn said.
