New Saints wide receiver Dez Bryant is expected to sit out Sunday‘s game versus the Bengals. They want him to drop weight and he needs more than two practices to learn the offense, build chemistry, etc. His debut could come the following week against the Eagles.
When Dez is ready, we aren't even sure he will be productive. Our Director of Forecasting John Paulsen had this to say about his signing: "The signing of Bryant provides a slight boost to Drew Brees, who has another target to utilize. Bryant likely eats into Cameron Meredith’s workload. Sean Payton likes to have a speed receiver on the field, so TreQuan Smith’s role should be relatively safe. Bryant could become fantasy-viable if he’s able to carve out a big role, but there are so many mouths to feed in this offense that it will be tough for him to have any week-to-week consistency."
