Ronnie Brown trade nullified due to failed Jerome Harrison physical

The Detroit Lions' deadline deal to acquire running back Ronnie Brown is off.

ESPN reported that the Lions' trade of Jerome Harrison and a 2013 draft pick to the Philadelphia Eagles for Brown has been voided because of a health issue surrounding Harrison. The Lions confirmed only that the deal fell through.

Asked his feelings on the deal falling apart, Brown said via text message, "Lost for words."

Fantasy Impact:

This will have a big impact on waiver wires across the country, as Maurice Morris becomes the obvious pickup for owners trying to account for Jahvid Best's concussion situation. It seems likely that Best misses Week 7, and we see Morris as the lead back with Keiland Williams rotating in and getting some third down work. Harrison probably won't be a factor given the way he fell out of favor with the Lions this season. James Davis has been added to the Lions' practice squad. Back in Philly, Brown re-joins an Eagles backfield as the RB3 behind LeSean McCoy and Dion Lewis.
