Joique Bell getting more snaps than Reggie Bush

Reggie Bush may be the Detroit Lions starting running back in name only as Joique Bell finished with more snaps for the second consecutive game, despite his early-season ball security woes.

Bell, who sat out for just one series following his second fumble of the season, easily saw more action than Bush during Sunday's loss to Carolina, playing 44.8 percent more plays than the shifty veteran.

As for the third man in the rotation, Theo Riddick struggled to see the field once again, getting just two snaps on offense to go along with his typical four-phase special teams role.

Fantasy Impact:

Bell now has two fumbles in two games but hasn't really payed the price in terms of getting benched. Bell played on 42 snaps while Bush played on 29. Bush had a better rushing average (4.3 to 3.6) but Bell had 10 carries to Bush's six. A big area of note is receptions, which Bell hauled in six for 61 yards while Bush had just two for six yards. We preached all offseason that Bell's value later in drafts would at least be similar to Bush's, however the trend is leaning toward Bell, even with his ball security problems.
