Felix Jones expected to start Week 8

Dallas RB DeMarco Murray (sprained foot) no longer needs a scooter to get around. He was seen carrying crutches Monday without a limp.

But clearly he was given the crutches for reason. He's unlikely to return for Sunday's game against the Giants.

Felix Jones should start even though he got banged up against the Panthers and is nursing a strained neck and sprained knee.

So look for second-year player and former undrafted free agent Phillip Tanner to get a big load against the Giants. He's not as explosive as Jones or Murray, but he is a tough and steady inside runner. He also doesn't fumble and is a reliable pass protector.

Fantasy Impact:

With Jones banged up, Tanner could see work this week too, which means this may be a committee situation. The Giants are in the middle of the pack when it comes to allowing fantasy points to running backs, but right now neither of these guys seem like a safe play outside of a flex spot.
