Falcons, RB Bijan Robinson agree to extension

According to multiple reports, Bijan Robinson has agreed to a three-year extension in Atlanta. Robinson was under contract through 2027 with an $11.323 million salary locked in for the final year after the Falcons exercised their fifth-year option on his rookie deal.

Fantasy Impact:

The story went on to say the extension is reportedly worth up to $75 million with $51 million in guaranteed money and $37 million at signing. The base value is $66.75 million, which makes Robinson the highest-paid running back in the league in average annual salary. The story also pointed out Robinson may not remain in that spot for long, however. Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs and Colts running back Jonathan Taylor are also looking for extensions, so the picture at the top could change in the near future.

49ers Beat: Mike Evans' quad strain could be resolved quickly

The 49ers receiving corps has been hit by several injuries early on in camp, but one veteran may be back on the field sooner rather than later.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Network noted that Mike Evans’ quad strain does not appear to be serious.

“It does seem like something that could get resolved relatively quickly, just by the term ‘strain,’” Rapoport said on Inside Training Camp Live, via David Bonilla of 49erswebzone.com.

The story went on to say Rapoport later referred to Evans’ injury as “not too serious, but certainly something we’re going to keep an eye on” when talking about the 49ers’ larger injury issues.

Browns WR KC Concepcion (shoulder) expected to be fine

Sources: Browns rookie WR KC Concepcion, who left practice today with a shoulder injury after a hard fall, did not suffer anything serious and the team is expecting him to be fine.

Colts TE Tyler Warren eyes bigger role

The Colts traded away wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. to the Steelers back in March, and Tyler Warren says his absence will allow him to have an expanded role this year.

“Not having Pitt here is a big deal just because he was such a big part of our offense and a great player,” Warren said. “It opens opportunities for a lot of guys across the offense, so I think being able to be more diverse and maybe run some different routes this year that Pitt would have been running will be good for everybody here to spread the ball around more.”

Warren and QB Daniel Jones were able to work out together this offseason. Warren’s 817 receiving yards were the fifth most yards by a tight end last season, and his 474 yards after catch ranked second-highest among NFL tight ends, the story said.
