If you can't stay on the field, you can't be targeted, and if you can't be targeted, you can't score fantasy points. There's a possibility that Gesicki can become a better blocker, but only two weeks out from the kickoff of regular season, he'd better hurry. When asked about the change, Gesicki remarked, "It’s definitely a whole different offense, a whole different scheme. I’m learning a new position, honestly. I played receiver last year. I played receiver the last three, four years. I’m playing tight end now."

The Eagles and star WR A.J. Brown agreed to terms on a new 3-year extension for $96M, the highest for any WR in NFL history. He’s now under contract through 2029 & his total guarantee of $84M is also the highest.

The Eagles are not messing around with their top two receivers, inking this deal just 10 days after locking in DeVonta Smith. Jalen Hurts remains insulated with high-level talent.

The Lions have a deal for one of the top young talents. They agreed on an extension for WR Amon-Ra St. Brown. He gets four years and more than $120M, with $77M guaranteed.

Fantasy Impact:

Good move for the Lions, who lock in their No. 1 pass-catching option. They will still likely address the position in the NFL Draft, but that shouldn't impact St. Brown.

It's hard to picture this prohibiting the team from taking a QB in the NFL Draft but it certainly insulates them a little bit if they end up unable to move up where they want. Wilson's dynasty SuperFlex value will at least improve in the short term.
