'Could be some time' before Jordan Reed returns

Tight end Jordan Reed has shown flashes of great talent in his brief NFL career, but a concussion kept him out of seven games as a rookie and now another injury is threatening to cost him time in his second season with the Redskins.

Reed hurt his hamstring while trying to hurdle a defender in the first half of Sunday’s loss to the Texans. Reed didn’t return to the game after the injury and coach Jay Gruden said at Monday’s press conference that it “could be some time” before he’s ready to return.

Fantasy Impact: 

Gruden said that the team will work out some tight ends this week, but that they could also opt to stick with Logan Paulsen and Niles Paul if Reed is out of the lineup. We had an earlier news item that said Paul is preparing for an increased role. He played well filling in for Reed but did have a fumble.
