Chiefs get good news on Cyrus Allen, receiver has just a shin bruise

The Chiefs are evaluating a pair of wide receivers for injuries: Xavier Worthy for a shoulder and Cyrus Allen for a lower leg.

Allen was carted off the field following a collision with cornerback Kaiir Elam during a special teams drill. Allen had been getting rave reviews and was already gaining the trust of quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

Worthy had been recovering from his January surgery and was just cleared for return earlier this week.

The 49ers are placing wide receiver Ricky Pearsall on season-ending injured reserve with a knee injury.

Pearsall is getting surgery on his right PCL. It’s an injury that’s been nagging him since last season. He is expected to be fully recovered in time for the 2027 season. The 49ers recently brought back Deebo Samuel, and as it turns out, they had a feeling there was a chance Pearsall would be out, adding reason for the Samuel signing. A very unfortunate set of circumstances for Pearsall, who was thought to be a potential key contributor to the 49ers offense this season.

Matt LaFleur said Tucker Kraft has been activated off PUP.

He won’t do any team drills but will do individual and walk throughs.

The news we were all hoping for. If Kraft is fully cleared by Week 1, we've got quite the formidable top-5 at the tight end position for what feels like ages. Kraft was the overall TE1 prior to his ACL tear last season and was on pace to legitimately have one of the best TE fantasy seasons in recent memory. If the fog from his injury scares leaguemates away, don't be afraid to pounce.
