Fitzpatrick was pulled after throwing his third interception, this one in the end zone, early in the third quarter against the New York Giants on Sunday. He was 13 for 21 for 167 yards, no touchdowns and the three picks, as the Bucs trailed 21-7.
Winston led the team to three-straight scoring drives. Winston is in the fourth year of his rookie contract since being taken No. 1 overall in 2015. Tampa Bay previously picked up his fifth-year option for 2019, which is guaranteed for injury only. So, it will be an interesting situation going forward as the Bucs seem to want to cut ties with Winston after this season.
TB QB Ryan Fitzpatrick - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook
Week 11 at New York Giants
Ryan Fitzpatrick had one of the weirder games possible last week. He had a strong 400 yards passing, and 35 yards rushing, but somehow managed to never find the end zone as the Bucs scored three points all game. Instead, he turned the ball over three times. Fitzpatrick has taken advantage of the Bucs' receiving threats all year, but has also fell victim to several turnovers.
This week he gets a pretty tough matchup against the Giants who have only allowed three multi-touchdown games to QBs this season. Fitzpatrick has had some Fitzmagic this season, but in Week 11 he's just outside of QB1 territory.
