Houston waa a good landing spot for Kirk given that Stefon Diggs (free agency) is gone and Tank Dell (knee injury) may not be around in 2025, though the Texans added both Jayden Higgins and Jaylin Noel in the second and third rounds of the Draft, respectively. Kirk averaged 65+ yards in both 2022 and 2023 before Brian Thomas drank his milkshake last season. He’s still just 28 years old, and could serve as C.J. Stroud’s WR2, though if either or both rookies emerge, Kirk’s role will shrink.

Fantasy Impact:

The return of Kirk could help the Texans offense, which hasn't done a whole lot over the first two weeks of the season. Before the injury, those who follow the team said Kirk was the team's clear WR2 in camp, so it's possible he could slide right back into that role starting in Week 3.

Week 8 vs. Green Bay Packers

With Evan Engram back, you can make the argument Christian Kirk is the third option in the passing game. It sure seemed that way in Week 7. Kirk saw just three targets and hauled in just one catch for 24 yards. Brian Thomas is the top target now for Trevor Lawrence but he'll throw a bone every now and then to Kirk. Just enough to give him some flex consideration but there are certainly better options out there this week with all 32 teams in action.
