Draft note
by John Paulsen
Kirk was on pace for a 57-787-4 season in 12 games played before a broken foot knocked him out for the remainder of the season. Those numbers would have made him a low-end WR3, which is where he’s currently being drafted. He’s now fully healthy, and is likely to see a big QB upgrade from Josh Rosen to Kyler Murray. The offense will also play at a faster pace, potentially boosting his targets. Multiple reports from OTAs say the same thing--Kirk has been the best receiver in practice, and that’s saying a lot with Larry Fitzgerald still on the roster.

ARI WR Christian Kirk - Week 17 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 at Los Angeles Rams

Christian Kirk failed to catch any of the five balls thrown his way last week against the Seahawks. He managed to gain nine yards on two rushes, but that was hardly good news for fantasy owners who lost championships because of him. He’s been largely ineffective for much of the season and continues to carry high risk-reward potential in any given game.

The Rams rank 11th in aFPA to opposing wide receivers this year and they held Kirk to just 23 yards on three receptions the last time these two teams met. His lack of production for much of the season combined with a difficult matchup and a likely game script that should favor the run game make Kirk too risky to trust in most leagues. He has some deep-league WR3 upside but coming off a bad week and now six games removed from his last really good fantasy outing, it’s safe to bench him if you have a more consistent option available.
