Tight End Streaming Week 9: Dulcich Gets Detroit

Finding a usable tight end on the waiver wire usually means getting comfortable with a few limitations. The most widely available options tend to share playing time or struggle to earn consistent targets, so the matchup matters when sorting through potential starters.

Our goal is to find enough receiving opportunity to put together a useful week. We’ll follow changes in routes and target earning, account for injuries that could open up work, and weigh how much help the opposing defense offers. A touchdown would be lovely, but we’d like a few chances to catch the football along the way.

As always, streaming candidates must be rostered in no more than 40% of Yahoo fantasy leagues. We’ll also use 4for4’s Schedule-Adjusted Fantasy Points Allowed (aFPA) to help evaluate matchups, with higher numerical ranks indicating friendlier defenses.

Week 8 Recap

Not much to celebrate here.

Mayer caught five passes for 53 yards to finish as the TE15, and Dulcich followed his breakout with four catches for 43 yards. Both maintained enough involvement to stay in this week's conversation. The rest of the group left us wanting considerably more. Mason Taylor's two-touchdown performance gave way to three catches for 19 yards, while AJ Barner turned five targets into two receptions for 23 yards.
