Week 7 Fantasy Football Sneaky Starts & Sleepers

All but the luckiest fantasy owners at some point need to find the proverbial diamond in the rough—a waiver wire or bench player capable of putting up some points in a pinch. This weekly feature is dedicated to that part of fantasy football. It's not pretty, but it's part of the game.
As of Week 4, we are now using 2025 data for our Hot Spots reports and aFPA rankings. It will continue to update as the season progresses, and we’ll start using a rolling 10-week window in Week 12. Remember, the higher the number, the better the matchup.
Quarterbacks
Jared Goff, Lions (vs. TB, 22)
Jared Goff enters Week 7 as the QB9 on the season, though his 17.9 points per game rank him 14th at the position. Historically, he’s much better at home, averaging 20.9 points per game in Detroit over the last three years compared to 15.4 on the road. The Bucs defense has been a bit of a pass funnel, allowing the fourth-fewest rushing yards to running backs but ranking 13th in passing yards allowed and tied for sixth in passing touchdowns surrendered. With one of the week’s highest totals (52.5) and the Lions projected to score 28.8 points, the setup looks favorable for Goff to post solid QB1 numbers at home.
Jordan Love, Packers (@ ARI, 18)
Jordan Love has quietly been a steady fantasy option, ranking QB15 on a per-game basis—just a half-point shy of QB11. He’s delivered at least 15.0 fantasy points in four of five outings, with his only down week coming against a tough Cleveland defense. The matchup sets up nicely here against an Arizona secondary that has allowed the fifth-most passing yards this season. Rookie Matthew Golden just topped 100 total yards last week, giving Love a hot weapon to exploit a beatable defense. He profiles as a solid QB1 streamer in Week 7.
