Fantasy Football Defense Streaming Week 2: Back to the Bayou
Welcome to Week 2 in the NFL where we get to overreact to everything we saw in Week 1. This doesn’t feel like the best week for streaming defenses, so I’m going with just three picks this week, but have an additional look-ahead team to keep an eye on to make up for it.
Looking back at Week 1, the Jets were a big dud in what turned out to be the highest-scoring game of the week. The Bengals and Cardinals were just on the verge of top 12 for the week. The Commanders finished top 10 for the week. Overall, 1-2-1 for the week. We’ll improve this week.

We told you to get used to seeing New Orleans in the targets list, and had them in the look-ahead section last week, and here they are, even after a not-terrible performance from the Saints!
San Francisco finished as a top 10 DST last week in a game against the Seahawks, capped off with a forced fumble on Sam Darnold to end the game. The matchup against the Saints, while on the road, is not daunting, and the 49ers defense gets a much easier opponent this week. This is the week our top pick - against the Saints - hits.
