Squirrel Patrol’s Week 13 NFL Thanksgiving Classic Slate DFS GPP Picks
Thanksgiving is here, and the NFL is serving up a three-game slate that’s fully stuffed with fantasy goodness. We kick things off at 1:00 PM ET as the Packers head to Detroit to take on the Lions (-2.5) in what should be a savory opener. The middle course features the Chiefs (-3.5) traveling to Dallas at 4:30 PM ET – a matchup that has all the ingredients to be the main dish of the day. And for dessert, the nightcap brings the Bengals to Baltimore to face the Ravens (-7.0), wrapping up our holiday feast.
All three games come in with fantasy-friendly totals between 48.5 (GB/DET) and 52.5 (KC/DAL), with CIN/BAL at 51.5. It’s worth noting that the more than three-hour gap between games makes strategic late-swap far more digestible – and exploitable – than on a traditional Sunday main slate.
The major injury stories for the slate are the likely returns of Josh Jacobs to the Packers after a one-game absence and Joe Burrow to the Bengals after missing nine games. Tee Higgins is the most notable player set to miss this game after a concussion last week. Noah Gray is out for Kansas City, who should get Isiah Pacheco back. The Packers continue to deal with injuries throughout their WR corps, with Matthew Golden, Dontayvion Wicks, and Jayden Reed all possible but uncertain.
The strategy for these three-game slates is just as important as the picks, so I’ll highlight some of the main points here:
