FanDuel Week 16 Cash Game Picks and Strategy

In this space each week will be the top cash plays on FanDuel with strategies on how to build a profitable cash lineup. The backbone of 4for4’s cash game approach is our proprietary value metric, which goes beyond simple point per dollar projections. That value calculation extends to a player’s odds of hitting cash game value based on their implied volatility according to their floor, median and ceiling projections.

Quarterbacks

Despite numerous availability questions all over the NFL landscape, the Week 16 main slate looks like a surprisingly straightforward week from a cash games perspective. With multiple free-square value options at running back, and at least one available at the wide receiver position, this looks like the perfect week to pay to move up to the premium-salary tier at quarterback. But surprisingly, the 4for4 value metric insists otherwise, instead suggesting fantasy gamers look at Justin Herbert ($8,400), facing the Texans’ bottom-10 defense. Herbert and the Chargers should be without Austin Ekeler this week, and while that may open up yet another value play at running back, it could also lead Los Angeles to lean more on the right arm of Herbert to get them through an extremely winnable matchup on the road.
