Streaming Tight Ends: Week 1 Targets
Did you decide to wait on the tight end position while you bolstered the rest of your fantasy squad before you looked down and realized your options were meek when the clock struck zero? Maybe you’re one of the many fretting about Irv Smith Jr.'s IR designation or the Week 1 availability of Evan Engram, Hunter Henry, or Noah Fant. Regardless of why you’re here, below, I’ll be carving out tight-end streaming options who have the opportunity to add TE1 production to your fantasy squad as we kick off the NFL regular season.
For streaming purposes, 4for4’s Schedule-Adjusted Fantasy Points Allowed (aFPA) is a metric we rely heavily on to determine weekly matchup strength. Since aFPA requires a minimum of three-to-four weeks of data to provide truly reliable results, in these early weeks, streaming options will be selected based on a combination of metrics, along with last season’s numbers. 4for4 rankings also come into play here and should always be considered when making league-specific roster decisions.
To ensure that our options are as actionable as possible, candidates for streaming are rostered in 40% or less of Yahoo! fantasy leagues.
