Quarterbacks

The ability to pay up at quarterback this week largely hinges on the backfield situations in Seattle and Cincinnati. As of now, there are clear value plays at the running back position for both teams, but that could change by Sunday, which would have serious implications on potential salary allocation.

As the situation currently stands, there is enough value to pay all the way up for 4for4’s top value at the position, Patrick Mahomes ($9,200). Kansas City has a massive implied total of 33.75 as 19-point favorites over the Jets. The obvious concern is that the Chiefs get up by so much that Mahomes offers no late-game value but if it gets to that point, it’s likely that he’s already had a huge game. Unlike many passers, Mahomes doesn’t need much volume to hit value as his 6.6% touchdown rate makes him one of the most efficient fantasy passers in the league.
