Streaming Quarterbacks: Week 11 Fantasy Football Targets

“Sweetie, it’s Vegas. You lose track of time in those casinos. There’s no windows, there’s no clocks. He’s probably on a heater. And you never walk away from the table when you’re on a heater.”

Sage advice from The Hangover. If this column was a craps table, we’re rolling so many sevens and elevens that the dealers keep changing out the dice, but we ain’t stoppin’! And it’s hard sixes and eights until the sun comes up on Las Vegas Boulevard when we don’t.

We picked two more top-five quarterbacks among our three Week 10 streamers:

C.J. Beathard (QB4) - 25 points

Case Keenum (QB5) - 24.1 points

For the season, our top streaming picks are now averaging 23.7 fantasy points per game. That’s more than DeShaun Watson averaged and more than Russell Wilson is averaging as the top fantasy quarterbacks in FP/G in 2017! The average of all of our streaming picks this season is now tied with Kirk Cousins in total points for QB7.

Our standard for this exercise will always be to select only quarterbacks owned in fewer than 40 percent of Yahoo! leagues. We will use that standard as not to be accused of stretching the definition of “streamer” (plus, we like a challenge). It will also allow for similar potential on other sites.

We’ll focus on factors such as QB points per game, the opponent’s schedule-adjusted fantasy points allowed to quarterbacks (aFPA), and the Vegas implied team totals.

Here are those options for Week 11:

Case Keenum (MIN) vs. LAR

Sometimes you have to look beyond the match-up. Yes, the Rams are 2nd best in our aFPA vs. QB rankings and top five in overall points allowed to the position; however, Keenum is balling and Vegas likes him. The Vikings have the 6th-highest implied team total this week, more than 24 points. Keenum is averaging more than 290 yards and three touchdowns in his past two games. He’s QB5 in FP/G in that span. Just make sure he starts with Teddy Bridgewater looming. It’s hard to imagine they don’t ride the hot hand though for now.

Keenum is owned in 18% of Yahoo! leagues.
