KC WR Tyreek Hill - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 vs. Denver Broncos

Tyreek Hill had another productive day last week, finishing 7-68-1. He's had at least 50 yards in every game this season and leads the NFL with seven receiving touchdowns (he also has a return score for eight total TDs). He'll face a Denver team this week he played well against earlier in the year (9-54).

Hill has been one of the best weapons in the league this year, currently fifth in receiving yards. There's no reason to not like him against the Broncos in Week 8. Owners should view him as a strong WR1 play.

KC WR Tyreek Hill - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 vs. Cincinatti Bengals

Tyreek Hill went OFF last week, exploding for 142 yards and three touchdowns on seven receptions (12 targets). Hill has at least 50 yards and five targets in every game this season, and has scored at least once in half of his games so far. He's a true threat, and continues to be very valuable.

Hill's success should continue this week in a favorable matchup against the Bengals. Cincy has allowed the eighth-most 20+ yard pass plays (22) this season, which means Hill should be able to use his breakaway speed at some point. We like him as a strong WR1 this week.

KC WR Tyreek Hill - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 at New England Patriots

Tyreek Hill scored four touchdowns in the first two games, but hasn't found the end zone since. Despite that, he's still found a way to be productive, putting up at least 50 yards in every game this season. He had 87 offensive yards in his last game, putting up yards as a runner and receiver.

Expect another strong game from him this week against the Patriots in a matchup that should see a lot of points. New England has been somewhat tough on wideouts this season, but not so much where it's worrisome. Hill should be viewed as a solid WR1 option this week.

KC WR Tyreek Hill - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 vs. Jacksonville Jaguars

Tyreek Hill saw a season-high 13 targets last week, converting them into a season-high nine receptions for 54 yards. He's now had at least 50 yards in every game this season, and at least five receptions in three out of four games.

Hill gets perhaps his toughest matchup of the season this week against the Jaguars. He and elite cornerback Jalen Ramsey have been trash talking back and forth this week, which just adds to the intrigue. There's certainly a risk with the poor matchup, but we still like Hill as a WR1 option.

KC WR Tyreek Hill - Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 at Denver Broncos

Tyreek Hill had as many carries as receptions (2) last week as he finished with a season-low 56 yards. We wouldn't be too worried about Hill's production, though. As we saw in the first two games, he's a threat to go all the way every time he touches the ball.

He gets a decent matchup this week against the Broncos. Denver has allowed the sixth-most receptions of 20 or more yards (13) and the second-most receptions of 40 or more yards (3) this season. Hill has a high chance to go over the top for a big score this week, which is why we like him as a WR1.

KC WR Tyreek Hill - Week 3 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 vs. San Francisco 49ers

The Patrick Mahomes to Tyreek Hill connection is real. Through two regular season games, Hill has been targeted 14 times and has converted those targets into 12 catches for 259 yards and 3 TDs. We knew before the season that Mahomes' strong arm could bode well for Hill in 2018 and we're already seeing it in action.

We like Hill as a strong WR1 option this week as he draws a favorable matchup against the 49ers. Although at this point, Hill is essentially matchup-proof until he shows any sign of slowing down. Fantasy owners should start Hill with confidence.

KC WR Tyreek Hill - Week 2 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 at Pittsburgh Steelers

What a game for Tyreek Hill, who showed us he didn't slow down in the offseason. His very first touch of the 2018 season was a 91-yard punt return touchdown. He then followed that up with a 58-yard touchdown reception. When it was all said and done, his receiving stats looked like this: 7-169-2 (on eight targets).

Hill was clearly Patrick Mahomes' favorite target, so we expect the connection to continue to have success in Week 2 vs. the Steelers. It's unlikely Hill goes off for three scores again, but he's still a good option and we view him as a WR1.

KC WR Tyreek Hill - Week 1 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 1 at Los Angeles Chargers

Tyreek Hill showed promise as a rookie and then developed into a star in 2017. He proved he's a legit threat and more than just a player who scores long touchdowns. Although that's still his specialty, as Hill had 10 games last season with five or more receptions, giving him plenty of chances to make plays.

This week he faces the Chargers. On paper, it should be a tough matchup, but Hill has had success against them throughout his career. Last year he caught a touchdown in each matchup, finishing with at least 70 yards in both games.

It will be interesting to see how Hill produces this season with Sammy Watkins on board, but we don't doubt he'll be effective. Hill should be viewed as a WR2 this week.

KC WR Tyreek Hill - 2018 Fantasy Football Outlook

Fantasy Upside

Tyreek Hill had moments of brilliance as a rookie in 2016, and was given more opportunity to shine as a sophomore and ran with it. He exploded with 75 receptions for 1,183 yards and 7 receiving touchdowns to become a real weapon in the Chiefs receiving game. He’s a big play waiting to happen as he led the NFL with nine catches of 40 yards or more last season. He’ll hope to show off more of that speed in 2018 with Patrick Mahomes’ deep arm at QB.

Fantasy Downside

Last season, Hill was the only true Chiefs wideout you needed to know about for fantasy. In 2018, Kansas City brought in another speedster in Sammy Watkins, which could eat into some of Hill’s big plays. Also, while Hill’s big plays are nice when they happen, they are incredibly difficult to sustain. All of Hill’s touchdowns last season were 30+ yards. He had just one reception on four red zone targets.

2018 Bottom Line

Hill is one of the most explosive playmakers in the game and finished in the top 10 in both PPR and standard scoring last year for a reason. His numbers may take a bit of a dip in 2018 due to Watkins’ arrival, but it shouldn’t scare off owners too much. Hill is still a great talent and is a high-end WR2 choice in both formats.

KC WR Tyreek Hill - Week 18 Fantasy Football Outlook

Wild Card Round vs. Tennessee Titans

Tyreek Hill showed promise as a rookie, and he exploded in his second season. The speedster caught 75 passes for 1,183 yards, which comes out to 15.8 yards per catch (11th in the league). He had 7 touchdowns, most of which were the result of a long play. In fact, Hill had a league-leading 9 catches of 40 yards or more.

He had a strong finish to the season, averaging 114 yards in his last four games. He'll look to build on that success with a favorable opening matchup against the Titans. However, the Titans typically don't allow many big plays, giving up just 37 passes of 20 yards or more, the third fewest in the league.

To counter this, the Chiefs may give Hill more opportunities on shorter plays, which would lead to more receptions. No matter the case, Hill should be viewed as a strong option this week.
