BUF QB Josh Allen - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 vs. Indianapolis
After a stinker a couple weeks ago, Josh Allen was back on track last week, at least throwing the ball, for Buffalo. He completed 75% of his passes for 366 yards and two touchdowns. He did throw a pick. Where his numbers struggled this week was in the running game where he had a season-low two carries for 3 yards. We won't be concerned with that at this point unless it starts a trend.

Allen will face the Colts who are ranked 29th in aFPA to quarterbacks. The Bills offense has disappeared at times, but when at the top of their game, they are one of the best in the NFL.

Start Allen in all leagues and formats as a top 5 fantasy quarterback for Week 11. The favorable matchup will probably make it a high-scoring day for the Bills offense.

BUF QB Josh Allen - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 at New York Jets
Josh Allen had his worst game of the season that saw the Bills score zero touchdowns in a loss to Jacksonville. We have mentioned in the past that it's not a good thing when Allen throws 40+ passes and he had 47 last Sunday. He threw for 264 yards and two interceptions. He rushed for 50 yards.

Allen will try to bounce back in New York against the Jets who are ranked 30th in aFPA to quarterbacks. He threw for over 300 yards in the two meetings against New York in 2019, but only had two passing touchdowns total in the two games. He did run for one score.

Start Allen as a top-5 fantasy quarterback for Week 10. Although the Jets have surprised some people this season, we think the Bills wake up from last week's slumber and Allen has a huge afternoon.

BUF QB Josh Allen - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 at Jacksonville
Josh Allen threw 40+ passes for the fourth time this season. He ended up completing 69% of his passes for 249 yards and two touchdown passes. Allen also rushed eight time for 55 yards which was his second highest rushing total of the 2021. He scored this third rushing touchdown of the season as well.

Allen faces the Jaguars who are ranked 27th in aFPA to quarterbacks. Allen's performance last week would have been a good fantasy outing for most quarterbacks, but it ws actually underwhelming for Allen. The best new was his rushing output which has been limited at times this season.

Start Allen as the top fantasy quarterback for Week 9 in all leagues and formats. He should put up some monster numbers.

BUF QB Josh Allen - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 vs. Miami

Josh Allen had one of his better fantasy outings before the bye week but not too sure the Bills want him throwing the ball 47 times. The formula doesn't work as was evidenced by Buffalo's second loss of the season. Allen for the season is averaging 287 passing yards per game with 15 total passing touchdowns and only 3 interceptions. The rushing stats have been up and down but still better than most NFL quarterbacks.

Allen faces division rival Miami who is ranked 22nd in aFPA to quarterbacks. With a week off and time to prepare, we expect a huge number from Allen against Miami. Last season, he was dominant against the 'Fins although this season he had low numbers on the road in South Florida in the first meeting between these two teams.

Start Allen in all leagues and formats as the No. 1 fantasy quarterback for Week 8. All the signs point towards a huge fantasy day.

BUF QB Josh Allen - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 at Tennessee
Josh Allen had season-lows in pass attempts and completions but still had one of the best fantasy outings this season. He threw for 315 yards, three touchdowns and zero picks against the Chiefs. He also had his season-high rushing attempts with 11 that produced 59 yards and his second rushing touchdown of the season. And they beat Kansas City. A pretty good day.

Allen has a great matchup Monday night as the Bills face the Titans. Tennessee is ranked 27th in aFPA to quarterbacks and has given up some huge numbers this season.

Start Allen as the top fantasy quarterback for Week 6. We expect huge numbers in both the passing game and he should run the ball enough to get some points there too.

BUF QB Josh Allen - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 at Kansas City
Josh Allen had an efficient day last Sunday completing 66% of his passes for 248 yards and two touchdowns. The one big difference for Allen in fantasy this season is the number of TDs he is a part of. In three of the four games, he has two touchdowns rushing/passing or less. Last year, he was a touchdown machine. He only is averaging six carries per game so the rushing numbers have taken a big step back through four games.

Allen faces the Chiefs who have their own defensive woes. They are ranked 31st in aFPA to quarterbacks. In the AFC Championship game last season against KC, Allen tossed for 287 yards and two touchdowns.

Start Allen as one of the best fantasy quarterbacks for Week 5. It should be a shootout in Kansas City. Expect 300 passing yards and a minimum of two touchdowns but probably more.

Friday, October 8, 2021 - 9:57am
BUF QB Josh Allen - Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 vs. Houston
We saw the Josh Allen from 2020, at least fantasy-wise, last week. Allen accounted for five touchdowns while throwing 358 yards. He was a touchdown machine last season but had only three in his first two games including zero rushing touchdowns. His accuracy was spot on completing 74% of his passes.

Allen will have a great matchup against the Texans who are ranked 29th in aFPA to quarterbacks. He definitely took a couple of weeks to get going, but his numbers last week are what we are expecting most weeks.

Start Allen in all leagues and formats as the top-ranked fantasy quarterback for Week 4. Houston's defense is below-average so Allen should put up very high fantasy numbers.

Friday, October 1, 2021 - 10:58am
BUF QB Josh Allen - Week 3 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 vs. Washington
Josh Allen's numbers actually went down in the win at Miami. He threw for 179 yards while completing only 52% of his passes. He did throw two touchdown passes but also added an interception. What's most discouraging two weeks into the season is the lack of scoring Allen is involved in. He has only accounted for three passing touchdowns and ZERO rushing scores. He had two or fewer total touchdowns in only 5-of-19 total games last season and already has 2-of-2 this season. Part of the attraction to Allen in the preseason was the touchdown production.

Allen will face a Washington defense that ranked 7th in aFPA to quarterbacks last season. This will be the third straight top 10 defense he has faced to start the season.

We expect those scoring numbers to get back to normal soon so stick with Allen as your starting quarterback. He is a top-five fantasy QB1 for Week 3.

Friday, September 24, 2021 - 10:49am
BUF QB Josh Allen - Week 2 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 at Miami
It was a disappointing Week 1 with Josh Allen being held in check by the Steelers defense. Although he threw the ball 51 times, the passing yardage total was 270 which is 5.3 yards per attempt. The Bills barely tried to run the ball and with the exception of one series, the running game wasn't successful. The most disappointing part of Allen's stats were he only generated one touchdown on the afternoon. He averaged over 2.5 per game last season.

It won't get much easier as Buffalo heads to Miami for a division game on the road. The Dolphins are ranked 11th in aFPA to quarterbacks after one week but have a defense that is considered above average. Last season, Allen threw 7 touchdown passes in the two games vs. Miami and also recorded a 400+ yard passing game.

With a tough matchup on the road, Allen might struggle with some of his stats again. However, he is still a solid QB1 for Week 2 based on what he is capable of and his track record against Miami. Start him in all leagues and formats.

Thursday, September 16, 2021 - 4:17pm
BUF QB Josh Allen - Week 1 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 1 vs. Pittsburgh
The Bills open up against a strong Pittsburgh defense. However, Josh Allen has beaten them the last two times he has faced them, but his numbers were modest. The good news is we might still even better play for the QB than last year as he continues to grow as one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL.

Buffalo brought in Emmanuel Sanders to replace John Brown who was banged up a lot last season. So, that could be considered a slight upgrade and the rest of the skill players return for the Bills.

Pittsburgh ranked third in aFPA to quarterbacks in 2020 so this isn't a game where we expect record numbers for Allen. However, he should throw for 290 yards and be responsible for at least three touchdowns. Start him as a top 5 fantasy QB for Week 1.
