Week 14 vs. New York Jets
Although Josh Allen completed 66.7% of his passes, it was fairly a quiet day for the Buffalo offense. He threw for 223 yards and two touchdowns but only had 20 yards rushing which of course is a reason Allen is always a top-ranked fantasy quarterback. The good news is he has cut down on his turnovers with only one pick in the last three games.
Allen will face the Jets for the second time this season. In the first meeting, he was held without a touchdown pass and threw two interceptions, but he did rush for two scores. New York is ranked 1st in aFPA to quarterbacks this season.
Despite the tough matchup, start Allen in all leagues and formats as the No. 1 fantasy quarterback once again. This time, they play the Jets in Buffalo and he should be better than the last outing against them.
Week 13 at New England Patriots
Josh Allen threw for 253 yards and ran for 78 yards for a very good fantasy outing. He threw two touchdown passes and ran for another. The Bills offense continues to play well so even when Allen has an off game, he still is one of the top fantasy quarterbacks every week.
Allen faces the Patriots for the first time this season. New England ranks 17th in aFPA to quarterbacks. He had mixed results against the Pats last year being held to 145 passing yards the first game, but threw for over 300 in the second meeting and playoff game.
Start Allen as the No. 1 overall fantasy quarterback for Week 13. The rushing numbers continue to push him to that ranking on a weekly basis.
Week 12 at Detroit Lions
A least the turnovers went away for a week, but everything else wasn't good for Josh Allen's fantasy day. He threw for a season-low 197 yards and only one touchdown. To top things off, he rushed for a season-low 7 yards as well. So, even though the arm issue seems to have disappeared, Allen's fantasy numbers have fallen off at times. At least for what you expect from him.
This week might help him get back on top as the Lions are next up and are ranked dead-last in aFPA to quarterbacks. This is a short week on the road and that might be a negative.
We love the matchup and think Allen will be the top fantasy quarterback for Week 12. Start him in all leagues and formats.
Week 11 vs. Cleveland Browns
Josh Allen threw for 330 yards but only had one touchdown pass and two interceptions in the home loss to Minnesota. That's now six picks for him in the last three games. That has been the focus of the national media this past week but fantasy managers should be more concerned with only one TD pass the last two games. On the bright side, he is averaging 85 rushing yards over that span.
Allen faces the Browns next who are ranked 16th in aFPA to quarterbacks. Obviously those touchdown and interception numbers aren't ideal but the rest of his numbers have still been very good.
Start Allen as the No. 1 fantasy quarterback again this week. We feel he will continue with good numbers and will find the end zone on several occasions vs. an average Cleveland pass defense.
Week 10 vs. Minnesota Vikings
The news isn't good for Josh Allen or the Bills. Reports are he has a URL injury in his elbow and he has missed practice so far this week. This is definitely a wait-and-see as Buffalo has decisions to make about his status and it probably won't come until later in the week. Last week, it was Allen's worst performance of the season completing only 53% of his passes. He finished the game with 205 yards, zero touchdowns and two interceptions, although he made up for it with a pair of rushing touchdowns.
If Allen plays, he will face the Vikings who are ranked 17th in aFPA to quarterbacks. Don't read anything into the performance against a very good Jets defense on the road in a heated division battle.
Start Allen as the top quarterback fantasy option for Week 11 if he plays. But it will be a situation to monitor leading up to gametime.
Week 9 at New York Jets
Despite the win against the Packers, Josh Allen's numbers were a little off as he only completed 52% of his passes for 218 yards and two touchdowns. He also threw two interceptions. Allen did rush for 49 yards which was his highest rush total since Week 4.
Allen faces the Jets for the first time this season. New York is ranked 9th in aFPA to quarterbacks. He had mixed results last season against them, throwing for 366 and 239 yards. He combined for four touchdowns and one interception.
Start Allen as the top fantasy quarterback once again this week. Despite the tough matchup, he is the best chance for top points from a quarterback for Week 9, even though the game is on the road.
Week 8 vs. Green Bay Packers
After a week off, Josh Allen should be well-rested for the Sunday prime time game in Buffalo. He has averaged 330 passing yards per game and 43 rushing yards per game and has been responsible for 19 touchdowns in 2022. Allen especially has played well at home.
Next up is the Packers who are ranked 8th in aFPA to quarterbacks. Although Green Bay's ranking is high, they have not played as good as they were expected.
Allen is the top ranked fantasy quarterback for Week 8. These are two teams heading in opposite directions. Expect a huge night for the Buffalo offense.
Week 6 at Kansas City Chiefs
It was the best game of the season for Josh Allen throwing for 424 yards and four touchdowns. He also added 42 rushing yards. The only negative was the one interception. He made it look easy and was by far the best fantasy QB of Week 5.
The last time Allen faced the Chiefs was the AFC Divisional game where he threw for 329 yards and threw four touchdown passes while rushing for 68 yards. Kansas City is ranked 31st in aFPA to quarterbacks.
Allen should put up monster numbers again this week as he is ranked the No.1 fantasy quarterback for Week 6. This should be a shootout with plenty of offense and points scored.
Week 5 vs. Pittsburgh Steelers
Josh Allen's passing stats last week were mediocre as he completed only 53% of his passes for 213 yards and one touchdown pass. However, his rushing stats were his best of the season as he ran for 70 yards and a touchdown. He has looked a little off the last two games but no need to worry as he still is one of top quarterbacks in the NFL.
Allen will face the Steelers who are ranked 19th in aFPA to quarterbacks. Pittsburgh has struggled on defense without T.J. Watt who will be out again Sunday.
Expect huge numbers for Allen for Week 5 and start him as the top fantasy quarterback in all leagues and formats. The Steelers defense is pretty bad so the Buffalo offense should have a good day at home.
Week 4 at Baltimore Ravens
For the first time this season, Josh Allen didn't look unstoppable but still threw for 400 yards and two touchdowns. The catch was that he threw the football 63 times and the Bills only scored 19 points. He also added 47 rushing yards. It's hard to argue how good Allen is at this point in his career and he is a fantasy stud.
It's a great matchup for Allen this week as he faces the Ravens who are dead last in aFPA to quarterbacks. It will be a great battle between two of the best signal callers in the NFL.
Start Allen as the No. 1 overall fantasy quarterback for Week 4. He will reach the 350 passing yard mark and be involved with at least 3 touchdowns. Only question is can he outrush Lamar Jackson?
