Week 9 vs. Colts
Adams got another 14 targets last week, giving him 30 in the past two games. He turned that into 12 catches for 74 yards, but failed to get into the end zone after scoring twice in Week 7. Part of the reason for his heavy usage with fewer yards last week was because Randall Cobb was out. Cobb will be back this week, so expect him to catch more of that underneath stuff. Regardless, because of Adams' recent workload, you've got to keep riding him. He's gotten at least seven targets in five of seven games.
Week 8 at Atlanta
Adams is coming off a career game with 13 receptions for 132 yards and two touchdowns. But like so many Green Bay No. 3 receivers before him, he can be a little touchdown-dependent. Then again, he has caught at least one touchdown in four of six games this season. And all of the targets last week weren't an accident as Chicago seemed intent on not allowing Jordy Nelson to beat it, giving up passes to everyone else at will. Adams will be a hot play this week, but remember, he had just two catches for 34 yards two weeks ago.
Week 6 vs. Dallas
Adams caught five passes for 85 yards and a touchdown last week and has now scored in three of four games this season. As far as No. 3 receivers go around the NFL, he sits atop the food chain thanks to his QB and Green Bay's usage. Dallas has given up six WR TDs this season, so Adams will be a threat to score. Adams is worth a flex play because of his TD potential.
Week 5 vs. New York Giants
Thus far, Adams' value has been tied directly to his touchdown output. He's had two in three games, and with Aaron Rodgers throwing him the ball, he's always a threat to score. But he's averaging just five targets per game and only has nine receptions in three games. Adams is a flex option (at best) most weeks as the No. 3 option in the Packers passing game.
Week 3 vs. Detroit
Adams had three catches for 26 yards last week, but just missed a touchdown on a diving attempt in the end zone. Detroit has given up six TD passes in its first two games, so the matchup is a juicy one. Adams is a solid flex play this week.
Week 2 at Minnesota
Adams saw seven targets last week and caught three passes for 50 yards and a touchdown. The overall production is fine, but you'd like to see more on seven targets if Adams is going to continue as Green Bay's No. 3 option.
Week 1 at Jacksonville
After a disappointing 2015 season, Adams is in line for some of the No. 3 receiver reps with the Packers. But he'll likely split some time there with Jared Abbrederis, limiting his impact. Until one of them emerges as a clear-cut No. 3, neither is worth playing at this point.
2016 Fantasy Outlook
With Jordy Nelson out last season, many thought Adams would be the big beneficiary. While he did increase his targets from 66 to 93 last year, his catch total increased only slightly, from 38 to 50. More telling, his yardage total only increased from 446 to 483, while his TD total fell from three to one. Adams will be pushed for the No. 3 job in Green Bay by near-playoff hero Jeff Janis. The clock is ticking on Adams, but at 23, there's still time for him to make the needed improvements in his game to stay in the picture. He could be a buy-low option with an ADP of 258th overall, but there are plenty of safety options.
Week 18 at Washington
Since catching 10 passes in Week 10 against Detroit, Adams hasn't topped five receptions in a game. He also hasn't topped 54 yards in a game since then, with that coming last week on four catches. No thanks.
Week 17 vs. Minnesota
Adams managed just three receptions for 42 yards last week and is finishing what was a promising season with a thud. He's not much of a fantasy factor at this point.
