TEN QB Malik Willis - Week 16 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 vs. Houston Texans
Malik Willis looks set be the Titans' starting quarterback this week in place of Ryan Tannehill, who suffered an ankle injury in Week 15's game. Willis started two games earlier in the season and did not exceed 16 pass attempts in either one of them. Willis has intriguing long-term upside and rushing ability, but he has not shown anything as a passer in his time on a NFL field. His presence will be a drag on all of Tennessee's pass catchers and the offense in general, even in a tissue-soft matchup with the Texans' terrible defense. Willis is only fantasy relevant in dynasty or superflex formats.

TEN QB Malik Willis - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 at Kansas City Chiefs
After a rough debut in Week 8, it looks like Malik Willis will get the starting nod again in Week 9 as Ryan Tannehill missed Thursday's practice due to his ankle injury. If Willis does start, it appears as though the Titans are keeping the training wheels on the offense with him under center as he only attempted 10 passes last week and managed 55 scoreless yards with an interception. Willis is almost certain to throw the ball more in Week 9 against the Chiefs' high-powered offense, but he has shown nothing as a passer to cause excitement for fantasy purposes. Willis has some very limited upside due to his mobility, but he is nothing more than a Hail Mary QB2 against Kansas City this week.
