GB QB Jordan Love - Week 17 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 at Minnesota Vikings

Last week was a bit of a surprise for Jordan Love, as he became just the third quarterback to eclipse 200 yards against the Panthers since Week 6. It wasn't his best week, but it did show that Love can at least be viable in tough matchups.

This week is another matchup against the Vikings, and this time in the dome in Minnesota. The Vikings have been tough against quarterbacks this season, ranking 3rd aFPA against the position. It is easier to move the ball through the air against Minnesota, so there is a little hope for Love this week. He isn't a QB1 on the week, but he's viable in a pinch with all the backups this week in Superflex.

GB QB Jordan Love - Week 16 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 at Carolina Panthers

In the smash spot of all smash spots, Jordan Love did disappoint a little. He fell short of 300 yards, but went 29-for-39 for 284 yards and 2 touchdowns. It was an efficient day in a losing effort, but if you started him last week you were obviously hoping for more against the Bucs secondary.

On tap this week is one of the best passing defenses in the league in the Carolina Panthers. Carolina is 2nd aFPA against quarterbacks and have done an incredible job not allowing big passing days. Since Tua Tagovailoa threw for 265 yards in Week 6, only Baker Mayfield (202) has eclipsed 200 passing yards against the Panthers. Despite ranking 13th in our 4for4 rankings, he would have a seat on the bench this week unless desperate.

GB QB Jordan Love - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

It constantly feels like two steps forward, and one step back for Jordan Love this season. Love had a disappointing night against the Giants, finishing 25-for-39 with 218 yards with a touchdown and an interception. The Giants defense hasn't been imposing for most of the season, but Love certainly struggled without Aaron Jones and Christian Watson.

On tap, however, is the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who are just slightly ahead of Washington and Philadelphia for the worst pass defense in the league. The Bucs (29th aFPA against quarterbacks) are also a pass funnel which should put more of the onus on Love this week to get things done. Love is 9th in the 4for4 ranks this week at quarterback and should be started confidently this week.

GB QB Jordan Love - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 at New York Giants

Jordan Love looks like a completely new quarterback or maybe we've seen Matt LaFleur finally take the reins off Love and unleash him a bit. Love finished 25-of-36 for 267 yards and 3 touchdowns. Plus, added another 10 yards on the ground against a very good Chiefs defense. I think moving forward given all the quarterback injuries we're now in a place where you can confidently start Love if you've got him.

Love gets a matchup this week against the lowly Giants, but they haven't exactly been handing out fantasy points to quarterbacks this year. New York is 6th aFPA against quarterbacks this season, but it's probably because teams don't feel the need to throw a ton against them. Love has earned a benefit of the doubt that I wasn't sure he'd be able to earn this season. Ranking 10th in 4for4's QB rankings this week, I would start Love confidently.

GB QB Jordan Love - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 vs. Kansas City Chiefs

Jordan Love's fantasy hot streak continued on Thanksgiving against the Lions putting up an impressive performance for a national audience. Love finished 22-for-32 for 268 yards and 3 touchdowns through the air, plus another 39 yards on the ground. It was an impressive performance even in a matchup on the easier side, but these are the types of performances fantasy managers need to see to have faith moving forward.

Love is rewarded with a tough matchup against the Chiefs this week. Kansas City ranks 6th aFPA against quarterbacks this season, but the combination of six teams on bye and Love's recent form definitely put him in the conversation for streaming this week. He's 13th in 4for4's quarterback ranks this week and that's firmly in the conversation for starting this week. He's an easy start candidate in superflex and 2QB leagues this week. His ceiling may be lowered a bit this week, but we've seen enough lately to trust Love.

GB QB Jordan Love - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 at Detroit Lions

Jordan Love had his best passing day of the season as he topped 300 yards for the first time. Love finished 27-for-40 with 322 yards and 2 touchdowns against the Chargers in a surprise win. While Love's passing performances have been better as of late, we have seen a tick down in his rushing production. He wasn't going for more than 30-40 yards, but he has just 18 yards combined over his last three games.

Love does have a great matchup against the Lions this week on Thanksgiving. While the Lions (27th aFPA against quarterbacks) aren't quite the matchup the Chargers are, Detroit tends to play in shootouts which helps the other offense out. Love isn't a QB1 this week, and therefore not in play in 1QB leagues, but is definitely in play in Superflex and 2QB leagues.

GB QB Jordan Love - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 vs. Los Angeles Chargers

Jordan Love had a difficult matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers last week, but even while struggling he provided something, finally, for fantasy purposes. It wasn't great, but it was something. Love has been tough to trust this season and surprisingly more so as his weapons have gotten healthier.

Love does get a prime matchup against the Chargers, and their 32nd ranking aFPA against quarterbacks, this week, but he's had great matchups in the past and not put up great numbers (Minnesota and Denver come to mind). Love is startable in Superflex and 2QB formats on the matchup alone, but in 1QB leagues he's tough to trust. He's QB19 by 4for4 rankings and it's tough to argue putting him any higher.
