Snell likely will start in his place, according to Schefter. It's possible Samuels and McFarland get some work too, especially Samuels on third down and passing situations. McFarland has had 3-4 touches over the last four games while Samuels had seven touches last week against the Bills, but the Steelers did trail most of the game.

Steelers RB James Conner (quadricep) missed practice Thursday. Benny Snell would draw the start if Conner is out, though he's not dependable after posting just five yards on eight carries in his last "start" against Washington. The matchup against the Bengals would be better, but Snell is in danger of losing touches to Jaylen Samuels and Anthony McFarland.
The Steelers run game continues to struggle. Conner rushed for 10-18-0 last week while Snell did carry three times for 14 yards. The injury could explain Conner's lack of use. Samuels led the way in snaps, but only carried four times for 15 while hauling in three catches for 18 yards. This was likely because the Steelers ended up trailing most of the game after a pick-six. The team will look to get the run game going in Week 15 at Cincy on MNF.
Johnson had two early drops in the game on Sunday night and didn't see the field much the rest of the second half. He was replaced by Washington. The Steelers tried to get Johnson going in the second half with some easy catches but in the end owners were hurt by his first half drops. Meanwhile, the tweet said Smith-Schuster didn't leave the field on offense and Samuels led all RBs in snaps. The Steelers did trail much of the game after a pick-six by the Bills so that could explain Samuels' snaps, but the Steelers have struggled to run the ball as of late, too.
