IND TE Jack Doyle - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 vs. Miami Dolphins

Jack Doyle only had 22 yards last week against the Steelers, but he scored his second touchdown of the season and caught three of the four balls thrown his way. Doyle isn’t a great fantasy option, but he’s quietly shown signs of life the last couple of weeks and out-snapped and out-targeted Eric Ebron on Sunday. If he can continue to see more time than Ebron, he could have some streaming potential as the season closes out.

This week, Doyle has a nice matchup against the Dolphins, who rank 18th in aFPA to opposing tight ends this year. The Colts are also down Parris Campbell and T.Y. Hilton, meaning there should be some additional targets to go around. Doyle is too risky to bank on in most leagues, but if you’re desperate, he has some upside as a streaming option this week.

IND TE Jack Doyle - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 at Pittsburgh Steelers

Jack Doyle led the team with four receptions and 61 yards last week against a tough Broncos defense. It was the highest yardage total of his season and it was good to see him continue to get the bulk of the snaps. He was on the field for 72% of the team’s offensive snaps compared to 34% for Eric Ebron. Doyle has some upside against the Steelers this week, who rank 27th in aFPA to opposing tight ends, but his lack of production thus far over the course of the season makes it hard to trust him as anything more than a desperation play.

IND TE Jack Doyle - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 vs. Denver Broncos

Jack Doyle keeps racking up targets – he’s tied for second on the team with Eric Ebron with 25 on the season – but he’s simply not producing much fantasy output with the looks he’s getting. Doyle is averaging only 8.8 yards per catch and has only one touchdown this season, and the most yards he’s had in a single game is 46 back in Week 3. Until his production starts matching his playing time, he should remain on waivers.

IND TE Jack Doyle - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 vs. Houston Texans

Jack Doyle was on the field for 73% of the offensive snaps against the Chiefs before the bye last week, but he was still targeted only three times in the game and wound up with 19 yards. Doyle has some upside with how often he’s on the field, but the Colts seem to want to run the ball and Doyle has only been targeted more than four times once this season, and has failed to eclipse 50 yards in a game. His lack of production makes it hard to trust him and there should be better streaming options available to fantasy owners looking for help at the position. Leave him on waivers this week.

IND TE Jack Doyle - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 at Kansas City Chiefs

Jack Doyle only had 22 yards last week, but he scored a touchdown and was tied with Parris Campbell with a team-high eight targets as the Colts played from behind for much of the game. Doyle won’t face the Raiders every week, but it’s good to see him clicking with Jacoby Brissett as the team tries to find its offensive identity under fire.

Doyle faces a Chiefs defense that has actually been pretty good against the tight end this season, allowing the fifth-least aFPA to opposing tight ends. However, because he was tied for the team-high in targets last week and the Colts’ receivers are less accomplished than Doyle, he has a chance to be a quality streaming option in deep leagues.

IND TE Jack Doyle - Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 vs. Oakland Raiders

Jack Doyle caught all four balls thrown his way last week for 46 yards against the Falcons. He’s actually out-snapped fellow tight end Eric Ebron so far this year – 69% for Doyle compared to 46% for Ebron – but trailed him by two in targets. Doyle has upside this week against a Raiders defense that has given up the fifth-most aFPA to the tight end position through three games, and he could get some additional looks with T.Y. Hilton likely missing the game. However, his lack of production thus far makes him a risky bet and he should be considered a low-end streaming option in deep leagues.

IND TE Jack Doyle - Week 3 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 vs. Atlanta Falcons

Jack Doyle had only two catches for 21 yards last week against the Titans, and he has only 41 yards so far through two games. Doyle also has only one target inside the 20-yard line, making it hard to view him as a high-red zone usage option. He has some upside considering he’s on the field a lot more than Eric Ebron. He saw 71% of the team’s offensive snaps last week. However, he’s too risky to trust until he shows something, and there should be better streaming options available in most leagues.
