Pagano: 'Don't count T.Y. Hilton out'

It was pointed out to Colts HC Chuck Pagano that players who don't practice at all during a game week almost never play on Sunday. But Pagano was adamant he's not ruling T.Y. Hilton out.

"For some," Pagano responded. "This guy is pretty special. Don't count him out."

Fantasy Impact: 

As we reported yesterday, those around the team consider him doubtful even though his official status is questionable. If he’s out, Donte Moncrief becomes a fantasy WR2 with Reggie Wayne (PPR) and Hakeem Nicks having Sneaky Start appeal. Coby Fleener and Dwayne Allen would also get a bump. Andrew Luck’s ranking takes a slight hit with Hilton out, but he has enough weapons and should be able to manufacture plenty of fantasy points against Dallas.

Colts WR T.Y. Hilton (hamstring, questionable) missed practice all week and is questionable for Week 16. The beat writers are describing Hilton as doubtful, though he’s officially questionable. We currently do not expect him to play, since Indianapolis doesn’t have a whole lot to play for. If he’s out, Donte Moncrief becomes a fantasy WR2 with Reggie Wayne (PPR) and Hakeem Nicks having Sneaky Start appeal. Coby Fleener and Dwayne Allen would also get a bump. Colts WR T.Y. Hilton (hamstring) missed practice again Thursday. Hilton was expected to return today. If he’s out, Donte Moncrief, Hakeem Nicks and Reggie Wayne would all see a significant bump in a nice matchup against Dallas. His absence would hurt Andrew Luck, but he’d still be a must-start given the matchup.

Colts WR Reggie Wayne had one of the worst games of his career last week, catching just one pass for five yards and dropping three balls.

After the game it was revealed that the veteran has been dealing with torn triceps. While it's been suggested that Wayne rest until the playoffs and allow the younger guns to carry the load, the veteran said Friday the injury wasn't affecting his play.

"If I'm out there playing, I'm good," he said, per the Indy Star.

When Wayne suits up on Sunday it will mark his 209th game as an Indianapolis Colt, breaking Peyton Manning's franchise record. The receiver's streak of 82 straight games with at least three catches came to an end last week, but his consecutive games with at least one reception remains alive.

Fantasy Impact: 

With Wayne banged up, popular wire pickup Donte Moncrief could see a little more work. However it sounds like Wayne is going to play as a win would clinch the division for the Colts, according to the story.
