Scouting report

WAS TE Derek Carrier - Week 7, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 vs. Tampa Bay

Derek Carrier caught four balls for 39 yards on four targets last week. It wasn't a great matchup against the Jets, and this weekend's isn't much better as the Bucs are the top team in limiting tight ends to fantasy points. Carrier is ranked 20th and probably isn't a great option when you factor in QB Kirk Cousins' struggles.

WAS TE Derek Carrier - Week 6, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 at New York Jets
Derek Carrier was targeted three times and caught two balls for 27 yards and a TD last week starting for Jordan Reed (concussion). Carrier has very good speed, but is in store for a tough matchup this week. The Jets are the top team in allowing fantasy points to TEs, so Carrier is way down our list at the position and should probably be avoided this week.

WAS TE Derek Carrier - Week 5, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 at Atlanta
With Jordan Reed suffering from a concussion and an ankle injury, Derek Carrier could see a bulk of work this week against Atlanta. Carrier had two catches for 18 yards last week, but really hasn't been used much. Based on Reed's volume of work, Carrier could see some targets come his way, but is a very risky play outside of deeper leagues. The Falcons are 20th in allowing fantasy points to TEs, so the matchup is at least a decent one.

SF TE Derek Carrier - Week 3, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Derek Carrier Week 3 vs. Cardinals
If Vernon Davis doesn't play or is hampered this week, Derek Carrier benefits greatly. He had three catches for 41 yards last week and Arizona has allowed 16 receptions to opposing tight ends already this season. This would be a deep sleeper play.
