DET QB Chase Daniel - Week 17 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 vs. Minnesota Vikings
After coming in for the injured Matthew Stafford last Saturday in the blowout loss to the Bucs, Chase Daniel threw for 86 yards on 18 attempts. This season the veteran has completed 29 of 43 attempts with one TD. In the November loss at Minnesota, Stafford threw for 211 yards and a score but there has to be a better option for you to start than Daniel on Sunday.

DET QB Chase Daniel - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 at Tennessee Titans
Coming in for the injured Mathew Stafford in the fourth quarter last week versus Green Bay, Chase Daniel went 3-of-6 for 29 yards. His most recent previous start was last October when he was with the Bears. While the veteran has been a capable backup during his career, he's definitely not the QB you want to start during your fantasy playoffs, even facing a vulnerable Titans pass defense.

CHI QB Chase Daniel - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 vs. Oakland Raiders

Chase Daniel is expected to start for Chicago as Mitch Trubisky sits out due to injury. Daniel played most of last week's game as Trubisky went down early and played fairly well. He finished with 195 yards, one score and no turnovers. There's nothing overly exciting about Daniel as a quarterback, but he does get a favorable matchup this week against the Raiders. Oakland is allowing the sixth-most fantasy points to quarterbacks. So we don't expect Daniel to be bad, but based on what Chicago QBs have done in 2019, it's hard to get too excited about Daniel. He's a below-average option as the Bears travel to London to face the Raiders.

CHI QB Chase Daniel - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Chase Daniel at New York Giants

Chase Daniel played decently in his start last week over an injured Mitch Trubisky. He'll likely get the start again this week as Trubisky continues to recover. Against the Lions, Daniel threw for 230 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions. This week, however, he gets a tough matchup against the Giants.

New York has only given up one multi-touchdown game to a QB in its the last five outings, making it difficult for quarterbacks to rack up points. With Daniel's abilities and the matchup, we like him as a mid-to-lower tier option at QB this week.

CHI QB Chase Daniel - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 at Detroit Lions

Chase Daniel may get the start this week if Mitch Trubisky's shoulder injury is bad enough. Daniel hasn't shown too much promise in his limited NFL career, although it would be a favorable matchup vs. the Lions.

Daniel might be a valuable DFS play due to his low cost, but he should likely be avoided in redraft leagues if Trubisky ends up being inactive.
