Texans veteran wide receiver Brandin Cooks, dealing with a sore neck, is expected to return this week after being sidelined Sunday against the Chicago Bears.
Meanwhile, wide receiver Randall Cobb is expected to remain on injured reserve and not play again this year. Cobb said in a telephone interview Friday he is contemplating whether to have surgery on his toe.
We reported the news about Cobb on Monday. But the return of Cooks is good news for Watson, who should get a little fantasy boost with Cooks in the lineup. The Texans were running with Coutee and Hansen as the top-two WRs in Week 14, but both should move down a spot with the return of Cooks. Hansen ran out of the slot at times in Week 14, according to reports.
The Texans are struggling on offense and QB Deshaun Watson has been left with not much to work with at WR since Brandin Cooks was out in Week 14 and Will Fuller is suspended. Levitan went on to say 24 of Hansen's snaps came from the slot and has been targeted 14 times for a 21-percent share. Hansen has caught 12 of the 14 targets for 157 yards the last two weeks.
