Andre Ellington

Cardinals RB Andre Ellington (hip, foot) missed practice again Thursday. HC Bruce Arians said that Ellington has a “severe” hip pointer and that he is a game-time decision for Sunday. It's generally not a good sign if the head coach is talking about a game-time decision as early as Tuesday. Marion Grice is expected to be the lead back if Ellington is out, and would be a decent desperation start against a mediocre Chiefs rush defense. But he's not likely to see a huge workload with Stepfan Taylor, Robert Hughes and possibly Michael Bush in the mix. Complicating matters, the Cardinals play in the late round of games on Sunday. Hopefully, we'll have some clarity on the situation by Saturday, but owners should not plan on having Ellington available in Week 14.
