The Dallas Cowboys gave WR Miles Austin a day off during the mandatory minicamp last week, and he sat out some of the voluntary practices before that.

It was by design. The Cowboys were trying to protect Austin from himself, getting him off the field every now and then to keep him from overworking his hamstrings.

Fantasy Impact:

Austin has been slowed by hamstring problems each of the past two seasons, missing 6 games in 2011. While he played in all 16 games last season, he missed time in training camp and couldn’t finish either game against Washington because of hip and ankle injuries. We have Austin's ADP in the 10th round. He's clearly the WR2 behind Dez Bryant, but should still have some value this season as a WR3 or WR4 on your fantasy team.
