9 Fantasy Football Stash Candidates Ahead of Week 7
Six weeks into the season, the best fantasy stashes are becoming less about waiting for a random depth-chart promotion and more about spotting roles that are already beginning to move.
This week's group has a little bit of everything: rookies forcing their way onto the field, veterans returning from injury, ambiguous backfields getting even messier, and one bye-week player whose growing role makes him easier to acquire right now.
We're still trying to get there before the waiver-wire rush. In a few of these cases, that window may not stay open much longer.

Omar Cooper Jr., WR - Jets (5%)
This is our last opportunity to stash Omar Cooper Jr. at a single-digit rostership.
After missing most of the season with a high ankle injury, Cooper returned in Week 6 and immediately ran a route on 81.8% of New York's dropbacks. He drew seven targets, caught six passes for 103 yards and a touchdown, and commanded a 33.3% first-read share.
Cooper returned to his slot role in 11 personnel but also became the primary outside receiver opposite Garrett Wilson in 12 personnel, helping him reach an 82% snap rate in his first full NFL game. There is some eventual uncertainty if Adonai Mitchell gets healthy, but that's a future problem. For now, Cooper has already shown us the combination of playing time, target earning, and big-play ability we're typically hoping a stash eventually develops.
