The Jaguars placed receiver Jarett Dillard on injured reserve and activated receiver John Matthews off the practie squad on Saturday. Matthews is expected to be active for Sunday's game against the Denver Broncos.

Dillard, who the Jaguars drafted in the fifth round of the 2009 draft, practiced on Wednesday, was limited on Thursday and did not participate in Friday's practice before being declared out for Sunday's game. He missed most of training camp with a foot injury as well. Last year Dillard was placed on IR in week 10 after suffering and ankle injury.

Matthews spent most of last season on the Colts' practice squad and was claimed by the Jaguars off waivers on July 21. He had eight catches for 83 yards and two touchdowns during the preseason.
