Where was Bears WR Devin Aromashodu?

The Bears' offense took the field, and the game of ''Where's Waldo?'' began. In this case, however, everybody was looking for Devin Aromashodu.

Not even the Bears receiver could explain why someone who has developed into one of Jay Cutler's favorite targets couldn't find his way onto the field against Dallas.

''That's not my decision,'' Aromashodu said when asked why he played so sparingly on offense. ''Whenever I'm called on, I have to be ready to go. That's the main thing."

Lovie Smith would say only that it was a coach's decision, which indicates Aromashodu was benched because he was still sore after absorbing several blows in last week's victory over Detroit, that he was being punished for dropping passes in that game or that he has been replaced by Earl Bennett, who caught five passes for 29 yards after recovering from a hamstring injury.

Other possibilities include him being disciplined for a violation of team rules or that he was simply not part of the game plan.

''I've never missed or been late to anything in my career playing,'' Aromashodu said.

Fantasy Impact:

The truth of the matter is, no one outside of the Bears organization saw this coming or really has any idea why Aromashodu wasn't involved on offense. Owners should take a wait and see appraoch. Certainly given what we known now, Aromashodu wont be start worthy this week. However, it's very possible the situation zigs as quickly as it zagged.
