Vincent Brown may miss another month

The Chargers were the first team to exercise the new Designated-to-Return rule when they placed WR Vincent Brown on the Injured-Reserve list in Week 1. Brown suffered a broken ankle against the Cowboys in the second preseason game on August 18. He is now eligible to return to practice, but has not completely healed and may miss at least another four weeks.

“[Brown] is continuing through his rehab and I think he is making good progress,” coach Norv Turner said. “He hasn't obviously been able to practice. He is in the middle of rehab. So, what he is able to do, we will find out probably in the next month.”

Since Brown will likely begin practicing after Week 8, he will not be required to wait two weeks from his first practice until being placed on the 53-man active roster.

Fantasy Impact:

We were told a few weeks ago that Brown was right on schedule with his rehab, but it appears that he is still a few weeks away from playing. He is probably not worth a stash in all but the deepest leagues.
