According to Paul Kuharsky, Titans wide receiver Rishard Matthews had surgery to repair a torn meniscus during the first week of August. He could come off the PUP list as soon as next week.
Matthews' undisclosed injury has been one of the more under-reported stories of the summer, but it appears we finally have an answer. If Matthews can get on the field for practice, he is still likely to start in 2-WR sets come the start of the season. His draft stock has fallen mightily throughout the offseason and this could be a buying opportunity now that we know why he has been missing time.
