Stafford not 100 percent

Lions rookie quarterback Matthew Stafford still is suffering the effects of a right knee injury he sustained six weeks ago. Stafford continues to get treatment for the knee subluxation, and Lions coach Jim Schwartz has said Stafford is not 100 percent.

Problems with the knee -- even minor problems -- would explain why Stafford was having trouble getting the ball where he wanted it. A quarterback needs to have a strong base to throw, and a leg problem can adversely affect his passing.
