Ryan Mathews played through a high ankle sprain

A high ankle sprain carries a four-to-six week recovery timetable.

Ryan Mathews didn't miss one game.

The Chargers running back was clearly hobbled in the team's two playoff contests, not playing in the second half Sunday of a 24-17 loss to the Broncos. While Mathews declined to confirm, sources said his limitation was the result of a high ankle sprain.

Fantasy Impact:

If this is indeed the case, Mathews showed some toughness playing through the injury. Given how many owners he has burned through the years, his ADP will be interesting to watch heading into the 2014 season. He was the #10 RB from Week 6 on, so he'll merit consideration in the 3rd round.
