Ravens activate WR Dez Bryant from COVID list

The Baltimore Ravens activated Dez Bryant off the reserve/COVID-19 list on Tuesday, even though there remains uncertainty whether the three-time Pro Bowl wide receiver actually caught the virus.

Fantasy Impact: 

Bryant tweeted that he had multiple negative tests in the days afterward he missed the Cowboys game, but the Ravens placed him on the reserve/COVID-19 list for five days.

Josh McDaniels reiterated today that he is not exploring a trade to ship Jacobs out of Las Vegas.

Fantasy Impact: 

This is probably worse in fantasy land than if they simply found him a new home. It certainly raised some eyebrows when veteran Jacobs got some run in the Hall of Fame Game last week, a contest typically reserved for backups and players fighting for a spot on the roster, not RB1s. The Raiders already had Kenyan Drake in Jacobs' RB room before the team added Ameer Abdullah, Brandon Bolden, and fourth-round pick Zamir White. Jacobs is getting squeezed in every direction, but most discouraging, in the receiving game, where he doubled his career reception total in 2021 en route to his RB16 finish.

The presumptive new WR3 after Tim Patrick's season-ending torn ACL was Hamler's first padded reps with Russell Wilson and the gang today.

Fantasy Impact: 

There are a fair amount of mouths to feed within the Denver Broncos offense, but nonetheless, Hamler will have an opportunity to cut out a portion of the offense for himself as he returns from his own torn ACL that he suffered last season. A second-round pick in 2020, he has only seen the field in 17 career games, accruing a 35-455-3 stat line in the process.

Barring any setbacks, this means Dobbins is on course to play Week 1 against the Jets.

Fantasy Impact: 

Lamar Jackson will always cap the ceiling of any running back associated with his offense, but the RB1 in Baltimore still has plenty of upside. It would seem that the Ravens are more than likely to return to their extreme run-heavy rate in 2022 after finishing 32nd and 27th in neutral pass rate over the 2019 and 2020 seasons. If Dobbins has a full, healthy season, he will be a steal in the fifth round of fantasy drafts.
