Raiders optimistic Ashton Jeanty will play Week 1

Brad Holmes says Isiah Pacheco is steadily feeling better, but won't give a timeline for his return.

When asked if they still expect him to play this season, Holmes said "yeah, that's the hope."

The minimum four-game absence was already damaging, but Holmes’ answer introduces the possibility of a much longer recovery. Pacheco is now primarily an injured-reserve stash in leagues with sufficient bench space. Gibbs remains the unquestioned centerpiece, while Saylors is the best bet to handle conventional backup carries, though this is now an obvious team to target in the free-agent market to see if they can grab someone for cheap. We'll keep an eye on that.

Ted Hurst III has progressed from a future-focused prospect into a player expected to have a role this year

Jason Licht was quoted in the story as saying Hurst has proven himself throughout camp and OTAs. Once thought of as a future prospect, the Bucs now believe they can use him this season, and he's going to play a role. Hurst has had a very positive summer when it comes to press. He was only a later-round option in dynasty leagues this past spring, and while he still may be off the radar in typical redraft leagues, it's easy to see how he can earn some time behind Egbuka and Godwin this season.

Texans GM Nick Caserio on Tank Dell on IR-designated for return: "He's close, he's not quite there."

Caserio went on to say Dell is, "closer than he was during training camp." Dell can be activated after four games but it's not a lock it will be that quick. As the story said, it's a matter of whenever team starts clock on him returning to practice. With Jayden Higgins lost for the year, the team brought in Boutte to compete for targets behind Collins. There's no doubt the Texans could use Dell, unfortunately, it will at least be after four weeks.
