Courtland Sutton was able to get in his second consecutive limited practice on Thursday.
Sutton appears to be on track to make his season debut against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Sutton is dealing with a sprained AC joint, but he has progressed enough to practice on consecutive days. He will be needed if the Broncos are going to have a chance against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 2. He will be added to our rankings based on tommorow's injury report.
According to NFL.com, head coach Sean Payton stated that superstar wide receiver Michael Thomas has not yet been ruled out for Monday Night Football against the Las Vegas Raiders.
Michael Thomas is dealing with a high ankle sprain, and according to well-placed insiders like Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero, despite Thomas' desire to play through the injury, he is expected to miss several weeks. We have seen some miraculous returns from injury, but the Saints may choose to play it safe with their superstar, and choose to protect him from himself. Allowing him to play runs the risk of Thomas aggravating the injury, or even worse, injuring himself elsewhere due to compensating for the ankle pain, and could spell disaster for the Saints likely last ride with Drew Brees.
Parker was limited in practice for the second straight day but is fully expected to play in Week 2. He will have a tough test against Stephon Gilmore, and with a balky hamstring, this may be a week to fade the 2019 breakout. Preston Williams led the Dolphins in targets in Week 1 and may be even more active if Gilmore indeed shadows Parker all afternoon.
