Odell Beckham returns after hamstring injury

Odell Beckham Jr. scored a touchdown late in the third quarter of the Giants' eventual 30-27 win over the 49ers here on Sunday night.

Then he celebrated by doing a dance before returning to the sideline - where he was promptly declared questionable with a hamstring injury, sending a shiver down the spine of Big Blue Nation, considering hamstring troubles - something Beckham himself said would always be in the back of his mind - caused him to miss the first four games of last season, and much of the team's offseason activities this spring.

"Ha, no," Beckham said when asked if he was injured during the dance. "It was like five or six plays before the touchdown. I just felt something, like a little bite. You know what it is when you've had something like that, you know the issues that it can cause. But it's just something, being out on the field with these guys. I'm just happy I was able to come back in the game and do something to help the team."

Beckham indicated he did not think the injury was that serious. But, he said, he will be cautious with it, and take advantage of the extra day of rest the Giants will have with their next game coming against the Eagles on Monday Night Football.

Fantasy Impact:

Beckham would end up returning to the game on the final drive, drawing a pass interference call downfield before quarterback Eli Manning hit tight end Larry Donnell for the game-winning score. In the locker room after the game, Beckham said he was "not worried" about the injury, and quickly put to rest any suggestions he suffered the injury while doing his dance. Rueben Randle also injured his hamstring but said he could have returned. Both injuries are worth monitoring this week because the game is on Monday night.
