Joique Bell plans to play Week 6

Joique Bell has missed the last two Detroit Lions games with an injury. He isn’t planning on missing a third.

“I gotta come back and play,” Bell said Monday when asked if he was planning on playing this week. “... I hate sitting on the sideline.”

Bell said Monday he is planning on practicing with the Lions this week, an obvious precursor to him getting back on the field. What was wrong with him, though, is not totally clear. Bell had Achilles and knee issues last season -- and those issues were part of the reason he was sidelined throughout the preseason.

Fantasy Impact:

He was listed on the injury report with an ankle issue the last two weeks, but Monday he said his ankle was “100 percent, actually” and that it was his Achilles that is “getting there," according to the story. His style of running could give the Lions a boost on offense but is also a risky play his first week back if he is, in fact, active.
