Chargers RB Omarion Hampton (ankle) 'likely' to be back vs. Eagles

It’s currently viewed as likely that Chargers starting running back Omarion Hampton will be able return to action and play next Monday when the team faces the Eagles, sources tell CBS Sports.

Hampton has missed the last seven games with an ankle injury. The Chargers will probably welcome back Hampton with a nice workload, especially with QB Justin Herbert in question because of a hand injury. The Bolts are playing the Eagles who just allowed two, 100-yard rushers to the Bears on Black Friday. The only negative is this is a Monday night game, so Hampton owners will want to back themselves up just to be safe. Vidal will likely have a role in this game as well, especially of Herbert isn't able to play.

Lions WR Amon-Ra St. Brown (ankle) not practicing Tuesday

There won’t be any change to Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown’s practice status on Tuesday.

St. Brown missed practice on Monday with the ankle injury he suffered in the team’s Thanksgiving loss to the Packers and head coach Dan Campbell said at a press conference that the wideout will remain off the field on Tuesday.

Fantasy Impact:

Campbell added that St. Brown is improving and that the team will keep the door open for the wideout to play against the Cowboys on Thursday. It's not a short week since both teams are coming off a Thanksgiving Day games, but initial reports say St. Brown could miss 1-2 weeks. Campbell added, “If he can play, he’ll play. That’s the best way to say it.”

49ers 'hopeful' WR Brandon Aiyuk (knee) plays this season

GM John Lynch was asked on KNBR whether it was realistic that Brandon Aiyuk could play for the 49ers this season. "Realistic? I'm not sure," Lynch said. "Hopeful."

That certainly doesn't sound reassuring, but given the recent news around Aiyuk - not surprising either. It was recently reported the team voided Aiyuk's 2026 guarantees in his contract, so it seems unlikely Aiyuk is in any hurry to get back this season, even if the team would open his 21-day window for his knee injury.

Browns thinking week to week with QB position

While Kevin Stefanski reiterated he’s thinking week-to-week when it comes to the quarterback position, he noted he’s been pleased with Shedeur Sanders’ progress.

“He wants to continue to get better and better, and that’s the right attitude to have, and that’s why we’ll continue to work,” Stefanski said.

Sanders has completed 51 percent of his passes for 405 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions in three appearances so far this season. The story added Stefanski said Sanders "had some really good moments" in his second start of the season last week. One would think the team will lean toward Sanders again in Week 14, but it remains to be seen. Gabriel was cleared to play last week but the team went with Sanders.
