Calvin Johnson happy to give aching knees a break

The extra three days of rest that comes with playing a Thanksgiving Day game came at a perfect time for Lions receiver Calvin Johnson.

Johnson has been plagued by injuries to both knees and admittedly needed the rest after playing hurt against the Packers on Thanksgiving.

"It was big for me just being able to get home and get my feet up," he said. "The biggest cure for what I have is just time. So, the more time I get to get off of it, the better I'll be."
