Browns plan to release TE Gary Barnidge

After trading up for Miami TE David Njoku, the Browns have informed veteran TE Gary Barnidge he’ll be cut, source said.

Fantasy Impact:

Barnidge apparently became expendable after the Browns drafted TE David Njoku. Rookie tight ends rarely make a fantasy impact, but the Browns appear to be planning to play Njoku extensively if they were willing to part ways with Barnidge. Barnidge is entering his age 32 season, but shouldn't have a problem finding a new team.

Cardinals RB James Conner (heel) and WR Rondale Moore (hamstring) are active for Super Wild Card Monday against the Los Angeles Rams.

Fantasy Impact:

Conner active means Chase Edmonds should be no worse than in a 50/50 split, but loses his lead dog role. Moore has been used sporadically and is a true boom/bust play against the Rams.

Rams WR Van Jefferson (shoulder) was limited Friday after practicing in full Thursday.

Fantasy Impact:

Not a great sign for Jefferson, but maybe he had time spent with the trainers that limited his practice instead of a setback.

James Conner gets another DNP, Edmonds, Moore limited again

Cardinals RB James Conner (heel) did not practice Friday, while RB Chase Edmonds (ribs/toe) and WR Rondale Moore (ankle) were limited.

Fantasy Impact:

A second DNP is bad news for Conner, especially with Edmonds ailing as well.
