Broncos RB Phillip Lindsay (wrist) hopeful to play Week 17

Running back Phillip Lindsay is optimistic that the injury he suffered to his right wrist is “probably just a sprain,” he said after the Broncos’ 27-14 loss to the Raiders.

He is scheduled to undergo an MRI on Tuesday, Head Coach Vance Joseph announced after the game.

Fantasy Impact: 

Lindsay, who exited the game after a carry in the third quarter, said he would try to play in Week 17 against the Chargers, even though the Broncos don’t have playoff implications on the line. Freeman would likely have a bigger role in Week 17 if the Broncos hold out Lindsay.
