Broncos place Montee Ball on IR

Montee Ball's season has come to an end.

The Denver Broncos placed the running back on season-ending injured reserve, the team announced Saturday.

Ball entered the season as the Broncos' No. 1 tailback after the team let Knowshon Moreno walk in the offseason. However, the 24-year-old has suffered an injury-riddled season after amassing 559 yards on 120 carries his rookie year.

Ball underwent an emergency appendectomy following Denver's first preseason game. After starting the first three regular-season games Ball suffered a groin injury in Week 5. Upon returning in Week 11, Ball re-aggravated the injury on just his fourth snap of the game.

Fantasy Impact:

C.J. Anderson looks like he's emerged as the Broncos lead back. With Ronnie Hillman expected back soon, he would likely get RB2 work.

Cardinals "preparing" for Kyler Murray to start Week 9

The Arizona Cardinals are preparing quarterback Kyler Murray to start Monday night against the Dallas Cowboys, coach Jonathan Gannon said Thursday. Murray missed Arizona's past two games with a foot injury and was able to rest it longer during the Cardinals' bye last week.

Fantasy Impact:

Murray's in a great spot to come into fantasy relevance against a Cowboys defense that ranks dead last in QB aFPA. Even if Murray doesn't scramble around a ton with a rehabbing foot, he should still be in easy consideration as a QB1.

Fantasy Impact:

Still early in the week, but Henderson would be an incredible RB2 candidate in what should be a very good matchup. We'll keep an eye on things, but the rookie might jump from potential FLEX candidate to must-start territory with quickness.

Ravens QB Lamar Jackson officially off the injury report

Ravens QB Lamar Jackson (hamstring) is officially off the injury report and good to go Thursday night vs. Miami, along with every other player on the 53-man roster. At last, Baltimore getting healthy.

Fantasy Impact:

If Jackson is suiting up, he's in our lineups. Mark Andrews is still a touchdown-dependent top-15 option, but Zay Flowers moves back into fringe WR1 consideration.
